The video is available in HQ version too - just click on the HQ tab!

A few art teachers had this idea for a music video on workplace safety, so they roped in all the art teachers to help out in the short film / music video! They submitted this work for the "Safety Starts with Me Competition 2009" organised by the Workplace Safety and Health Council (Singapore). Didn't get any awards, but the whole process was very rewarding. They had lots of fun writing the lyrics, composing and arranging the song, shooting most parts of the film on green screen, getting the costumes and sorting out the colour coordination, making the styrofoam props and the cardboard background, choreographing the dance sequences, doing the digital illustrations, compositing the visual effects, adding the subtitles and finally editing the film!

ISn't that our art teacher, guo lao shi?

Hi everyone... I am back to posting again after a FEW days. Sorry everyone, but my blog is turning into a zombie. So can anyone please tag or at least comment on my dying blog?

Ok. Back to posting. Have anyone ever watched Britains' Got Talent on TV? If you have, you must have heard Susan Boyle singing on the stage. She is just a farmer but her voice surrpised everyone downstage, even the judges, including Simon Cowell, a very cocky judge...

Susan Boyle (born 15 June 1961) is a Scottish amateur singer and former community worker who came to public attention on 11 April 2009 when she appeared as a contestant on the third season of Britain's Got Talent . Boyle leapt to almost immediate global fame when she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables in the competition's first round.
Before she sang, both the audience and the judges appeared to express skepticism based on her ungroomed appearance and awkwardness. In contrast, her vocal performance was so outstanding that she has been dubbed "The Woman Who Shut Up Simon Cowell". She received a standing ovation from the live audience, attracting yes-votes from Cowell and Amanda Holden, and the "biggest yes I have ever given anybody" from Piers Morgan. The audition was recorded in January 2009 at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland.
The juxtaposition of her powerful voice with the audience's first impression of her triggered global interest. Articles about her appeared in newspapers all over the world, while online videos of her performance totalled over 50 million views within a week. Cowell is reported to be setting up a contract with Boyle with his Syco Music company label, a subsidiary of Sony Music.

Here's a video for you enjoy... That's right, gape at it . Be surprised!!!

All Blacks(My favourite Rugby team)
Today, I am going to talk about the history and origins of the Haka, which is sung and danced by the New Zealand rugby team immediately prior to international matches.

Haka Origins

According to Maori ethos, Tama-nui-to-ra, the Sun God, had two wives, Hine-raumati, the Summer maid, and Hine takurua, the Winter maid. The child born to him and Hine-raumati was Tane-rore, who is credited with the origin of the dance. Tane-rore is the trembling of the air as seen on the hot days of summer, and represented by the quivering of the hands in the dance.

Haka is the generic name for all Maori dance. Today, haka is defined as that part of the Maori dance repertoire where the men are to the fore with the women lending vocal support in the rear. Most haka seen today are haka taparahi, haka without weapons.

More than any aspect of Maori culture, this complex dance is an expression of the passion, vigour and identity of the race. Haka is not merely a past time of the Maori but was also a custom of high social importance in the welcoming and entertainment of visitors. Tribal reputation rose and fell on their ability to perform the haka (Hamana Mahuika)

Haka reflected the concerns and issues of the time, of defiance and protest, of factual occurrences and events at any given time

Haka History

The centrality of the haka within All Black rugby tradition is not a recent development. Since the original "All Black" team of "New Zealand Natives" led by Joseph Warbrick the haka has been closely associated with New Zealand rugby. Its mystique has evolved along with the fierce determination, commitment and high level skill which has been the hallmark of New Zealand's National game.

The haka adds a unique component, derived from the indigenous Maori of New Zealand, and which aligns with the wider Polynesian cultures of the Pacific.

The All Blacks perform the haka with precision and intensity which underpin the All Black approach.

This is so cruel!!!How could Canada allow hunters to kill more than 300,000 baby seals???!!!This videos are consists of gore and horror PG13. PETA fired off a letter to the USDA demanding that it begin protecting animals raised for the bloody fur trade after PETA investigators on a fur farm in Midland, Michigan, saw chinchillas who were being electrocuted, causing painful seizures to the animals hearts, and having their necks snapped while fully conscious. Animals killed for their skins currently receive no federal protection from the kinds of abuses that our investigators witnessed.

You may be noticing Han Yang and me laughing during flagrising, do you know why? He said he was thinking of the butt *@!# sound. So I stupidly followed him. So PLEASE anyone, PLEASE PLEASE,PLEASE help me try and change this bad habit!!!

I am uploading this video because I think that this video makes people feel sorry for the animals.
What if this people killing or skinning this animals are the animals themselves? How would they feel? It would hurt a lot right? I feel sorry for those animals... Please give your comments on this video...
